The Carnival of the Animals: Remix brings Camille Saint-Saëns’ magical and engaging work Carnival of the Animals into today’s world. This 50-minute program is designed for children ages 3-8 taking them on a journey around the world, visiting all seven continents and the animals and musical styles of each region. Infusing a variety of multi-dimensional art forms and musical styles – as well as introducing a lineup of new animal characters – brings a modern twist to this classic in a new arrangement for chamber orchestra, piano and local and international guest artists.

VIOLINS OF HOPE

Long Beach Symphony

The Violins of Hope program relates remarkable stories of string instruments played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust. Each surviving instrument has a unique and inspiring story that connects both young and old to the history of the Holocaust in a deeply emotional, personal and relatable way. Through the display and playing of these instruments, Violins of Hope is a moving tribute to the more than six million Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust.
